Andrew Warwick-Thompson has been hired as a professional trustee by independent trustee company Capital Cranfield.
Warwick-Thompson is a former trustee chair of Mencap Pension Scheme. He was also previously executive director for regulatory policy at The Pensions Regulator and chief executive of LGPS Central, a local authority pension pool.
Neil McPherson, managing director of Capital Cranfield, said Warwick-Thompson’s appointment reflected continuing demand for professional trustees.
“He is a high calibre addition to our team whose wide range of experience and skills will bring considerable value to his clients,” he added.
It is Cranfield Capital’s second appointment this year and it now has 40 trustees covering more than 300 clients across the UK. Warwick-Thompson said: “The role of professional trustees in delivering member benefits is now widely recognised. I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues and clients in this next stage of my career.”
