Emma Matthews has stood down as head of investment at Now Pensions after 19 months at the helm.
At 32, Matthews has been one of the youngest investment heads in the UK, and her appointment was seen as a positive move in an industry dominated at the higher levels of investment by men.
In a statement sent to portfolio institutional, Now Pensions stated: “We can confirm that Emma Matthews left Now Pensions on 30th October and Eleanor Levy will be responsible for investments alongside her current role as chief commercial officer as we recruit a new head of Investments.”
The organisation offered no further details of Matthews’ departure.
Last year, she told pi about her plans for the master trust, how she was enjoying the role, the integration of ESG into its investment decisions and an increased allocation to equities.
